Mastacembelus Armatus - These eels are a light brown/tan colour with black zig zag markings along their bodies.

Native to the waters of South and South East Asia, these fish are nocturnal and prefer a dimly lit aquarium. They are peaceful, but will predate on smaller fish at night as adults.

Lifespan: 10 years

Temperature: 22-28 degrees celsius

Tank requirements: Filter & Oxygen, Heater

Tank Mates: Other freshwater, peaceful fish that are larger than the eels mouth. Good tankmates could include larger Gourami, Severums or Geophagus.

Feeding: Good Quality Flake or Pellets
