Barbonymus schwanenfeldii - These fish are a beautiful shiny silver with red tinted fins and a deep body.

Originally hailing from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, they are a lively addition to any larger community tank with robust tank mates of a similar size. They are a shoaling fish and so prefer to live in groups of 6 or more barbs, in smaller groups they can become nippy with other tank mates so avoid long finned companions for them.

Tank requirements: Filter & Oxygen, Heater.

Tank Mates: Other freshwater fish of a similar size and robust - no long fins or smaller fish.
