Beaufortia kweichowensis -  These loaches are similar to plecos but with double fins resembling a butterfly. The pinstripe version has a golden body with darker pinstripe markings.

Originating in China, these loaches have armour plating on the top of their bodies and so are suitable tank mates for both peaceful and aggressive fish. Loaches help to keep the tank clean by eating algae and detritus from the bottom of the tank, they are generally nocturnal. Hillstream loaches prefer a tank with a high water flow and plenty of oxygen.
