Melanotaenia parkinsoni - These fish have an elongated body and when coloured, display a beautiful red/orange colouration. Colours improve with age and with both sexes present but males are generally brighter than females.

Native to Papua New Guinea, these fish are gregarious and peaceful. These fish shoal naturally and often display their brightest colours when kept in a good sized group of 5+

Tank requirements: Filter & Oxygen, Heater

Tank Mates: Other freshwater tropical fish of a similar temperament.
