Mastacembelus erythrotaenia - These eels are a dark brown colour with orange and red striped markings along their bodies.

Native to the waters of Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam, these fish are nocturnal and prefer a dimly lit aquarium. They are peaceful, but will predate on smaller fish at night as adults.

Tank Mates: Other freshwater, peaceful fish that are larger than the eels mouth.
