Chromobotia Macracantha - The body of the Clown Loach is arched with a flat bottom and a curved dorsal fin. They are a vibrant oange with black stripes and because of this they are sometimes referred to as tiger loaches.
These loaches originate in inland waters in Sumatra and Borneo and spend most of their time snuffling round the bottom of the tank. They are most comfortable in groups of 6 or more and will be more active the more of them there are. These fish are somewhat sensitive to water conditions, often referred to as the canaries of the aquarium as they are usually the first to succumb to any problems arising from disease or poor water quality.

Tank Mates: These fish are peaceful but should be kept with fish of a similar size.
