    Badis buchanani - This fish has a very long dorsal fin that stretches from its gills to its tail. The males are more brightly coloured when mature with blue being a predominant colour on their fins.

    Originating from South Asia, these fish can change colour to blend with their surroundings or if they're in mating mood or stressed. Although predatory, they remain quite small so can happily live with other similar sized peaceful fish. As ambush predators they like plenty of hiding places and well planted aquariums.

    Lifespan: 3-4 years

    Temperature: 15-25 degrees celsius

    Tank requirements: Filter & Oxygen, Heater

    Tank Mates: Happy to co-exist with similar sized peaceful fish.

    Feeding: Frozen and live foods are best as they may not take flake or pellets.
