    Xiphophorus Helleri - These fish have a narrow torpedo shaped body with the males displaying an elongated bottom tail fin which looks like a sword. They come in a variety of colours with some of the most popular being Pineapple, Neon and Red.

    Swordtails come from North and Central America and are popular due to their ease of care, stunning range of colours and easy breeding. Swordtails are live bearers with the female giving birth to live independent young around 21 days after spawning. Kept in the right conditions, they can produce fry every 28 days! 

    Maximum size: up to 12cm

    Lifespan: 3-5 years

    Temperature: 21-28 degrees celsius

    Tank requirements: Filter & Oxygen, Heater

    Tank Mates: Other freshwater fish of a similar size and temperament.

    Feeding: Good Quality Flake or Pellets
