Assorted Swordtail 5cm - Please note that the fish provided may differ in colour and pattern from the ones shown and may be male or female. Where more than one is selected, we will aim to provide a mixture of colours and both male and females. If you have a specific colour or gender ratio in mind, it is best to call into store, otherwise you will be provided with what we have available.
Breed information
Xiphophorus Helleri - These fish have a narrow torpedo shaped body with the males displaying an elongated bottom tail fin which looks like a sword. They come in a variety of colours with some of the most popular being Pineapple, Neon and Red.
Swordtails come from North and Central America and are popular due to their ease of care, stunning range of colours and easy breeding. Swordtails are live bearers with the female giving birth to live independent young around 21 days after spawning. Kept in the right conditions, they can produce fry every 28 days!

Tank Mates: Other freshwater fish of a similar size and temperament.
