Polypterus senegalus - This oddball has an elongated white body with dragon like spines along it's back.

Originating from tropical Africa, these predators are not community friendly and will eat smaller fish. They are incredible characters though they prefer to be the only one of their species as they are solitary and nocturnal.

Lifespan: 10+ years

Temperature: 24-26 degrees celsius

Tank requirements: Filter & Oxygen, Heater - Large aquarium required.

Tank Mates: Other larger robust fish such as Oscars and larger plecos.

Feeding: Good Quality Flake or Pellets, Frozen and Live foods.
