Metynnis lippincotianu - These fish have deep round disc shaped silver bodies with darker grey spots and love to shoal.

Originating from Bolivia, Brazil, Guyana, and Peru they are one of the most easily recognised aquarium fish having been popular in the hobby for many years. These fish can be a little skittish and are much more confident in a group, be wary of their tendency to eat plants however and keep them in a more hardscaped aquarium.
