Balantiocheilos Melanopterus - These slender torpedo shaped silver fish have black tips on their fins and a tall dorsal fin.

Native to Southeast Asia thes fish are gentle giants and very easy to care for. Although a larger fish, they are one of the most peaceful, they are also very active and are happiest when they are in small groups. Please bear in mind though that these fish can grow too large for most aquariums.

Temperature: 22-28 degrees celsius

Tank requirements: Filter & Oxygen, Heater - WILL NEED A LARGE TANK AS IT GROWS

Tank Mates: Other freshwater tropical fish. Although not aggressive, as it grows it may eat smaller slim fish such as neons.

Feeding: Good Quality Flake or Pellets
