Pethia Nigrofasciata - These fish are a beautiful silvery colour with black stripes and fins whilst young but will develop a bright red body with darker stripes as they mature.

Originally hailing from Sri Lanka, they are a lively addition to any community tank and are relatively peaceful. They are a shoaling fish and so prefer to live in groups of 6 or more, in smaller groups they can become nippy with other tank mates so avoid long finned companions for them.

Temperature: 18-26 degrees celsius

Tank requirements: Filter & Oxygen, Heater.

Tank Mates: Other freshwater fish of a similar size and temperament - no long fins.

Feeding: Good Quality Flake or Pellets
