Hydrophlox chrosomus - Small and brightly coloured silvery fish with rainbow iridescence that are extremely active.  Native to North America.

These fish like a high water flow and well oxygenated water and prefer to live in a group. Males can rapidly change colours during breeding season and are generally more brightly coloured overall. These fish prefer a finer substrate as the males like to dig nests/pits to entice the ladies.
