    Barbodes semifasciolatus - These fish are a beautiful shiny gold with darker markings.

    Originally hailing from South west China, Laos, Taiwan and Vietnam, they are a lively addition to any larger community tank with robust tank mates of a similar size. They are a shoaling fish and so prefer to live in groups of 6 or more barbs, in smaller groups they can become nippy with other tank mates so avoid long finned companions for them.

    Maximum size: 10cm

    Lifespan:  10 years

    Temperature: 15-24 degrees celsius

    Tank requirements: Filter & Oxygen, Heater.

    Tank Mates: Other freshwater fish of a similar size and robust - no long fins or smaller fish.

    Feeding: Good Quality Flake or Pellets
