Breed information
Pseudemys concinna - Dark flattened and elongated carapace with bright yellow squiggly markings. Their heads and limbs are a dark green with yellow squiggly markings.
Found in North America in the south east regions rivers and tributaries. These turtles are easy to care for and will happily coexist with different turtle species. Primarily herbivorous their main diet should consist of vegetable and plant matter. A large basking area should be provided because although these turtles are aquatic, much of their time is spent on the riverbanks basking in the sun. A basking lamp with a UVB bulb is essential for their long term welfare.

Lifespan: 40 years
Temperature: Water - 24-26 degrees celsius, Basking area - 32-35 degrees celsius
Tank requirements: Water filter, 50% water and 50% basking area, basking lamp.
Tank Mates: Will happily co-exist with other turtle species.
Feeding: Mainly vegetable or plant matter which may be purchased as prepared turtle foods.
