Jordanella Floridae - These fish are named for their colouration and pattern which resembles the American Flag when grown. Their colour whilst young is an olive green and this develops into reds and blues with a dark spot on their side.
Originally found in Florida - USA, they have also been introduced to Queensland. Best kept in pairs where possible as males can become aggressive with each other around breeding time. These fish are algae eaters and are particularly effective at controlling black beard algae and are a hardy species which can adapt to most conditions including an unheated aquarium.

Temperature: 15-22 degrees celsius
Tank requirements: Filter & Oxygen
Tank Mates: Other freshwater peaceful fish of a similar size.
Feeding: Good Quality Flake or Pellet with some greens i.e. lettuce.
