Panaqolus Sp.397 - These plecos have patterning on their dark brown bodies which are wide reddy brown stripes with finer wavy lines on the face.
Originating in Rio Curuá-Una, a tributary of the Amazon, these plecos have armour plating on the top of their bodies and so are suitable tank mates for both peaceful and aggressive fish. Plecos help to keep the tank clean by eating algae and detritus from the bottom of the tank, they are generally nocturnal. The L397 is incredibly peaceful and quite shy and is omnivorous.
