Geophagus pyrocephalus - These fish can vary in colour depending on their mood and can display blues, yellows and reds in their iridescent scales. They develop a read head as they mature.

Found in Central America, these cichlids are sociable and prefer to live in a group or pair. They are named Eartheaters due to the way they sift the substrate for fine particles of food and so prefer a sandy substrate. These fish are incredibly peaceful as they feed by sifting the substrate and are rarely territorial.
