Cyprinus Carpio - These carp have a long slender body and are named for the dark markings on their head which resemble a samurai warriors headgear and are enhanced by their light coloured extra long fins.

Originally hailing from China and Japan, they are now a common sight in garden ponds, popular due to their hardy temperament and beautiful colours, size and longevity.

Tank requirements: Filter & Oxygen

Tank Mates: Other freshwater, coldwater fish of a similar size.
