Heros Efasciatus - These fish have a disc/oval shaped body from the side and are slender from the front and back. They are a green colour with horizontal black banding, black spots and a turquoise cheek/chin area .

Found in Brazil and Peru these fish will live happily in a community aquarium with other medium to large peaceful species and can live alone or in a group. These fish generally live in slow moving streams and prefer less water flow and plants and caves to hide amongst.

Temperature: 22-28 degrees celsius

Tank requirements: Filter & Oxygen, Heater

Tank Mates: Other peaceful freshwater fish of a similar size.

Feeding: Good Quality Flake or Pellet. High Protein.
