A silver angel with dark grey/black stripes

Pterophyllum - A triangular shaped fish in a variety of colours, mainly yellow, white, silver and black and with or without stripes. 

Native to South America these fish are a member of the cichlid family but are much less aggressive than some of their cousins. Angel fish make a striking addition to any tank due to their unique shape and ability to glide through the water. They are peaceful but can be prone to nipping the fins and tails of slow moving fish with flowing fins such as guppies.

Maximum size: 10-15cm

Lifespan: 10-12 years

Temperature: 25-28 degrees celsius

Tank requirements: Filter & Oxygen, Heater

Tank Mates: Other freshwater tropical fish. Avoid slow moving, flowing finned tankmates.

Feeding: Good Quality Flake or Pellets
